Top Places to Live In New Jersey

New Jersey is a densely populated US state located in the Mid-Atlantic region, Northeastern US. The Garden State has had its fair share of bad press in its history. Often associated with mobs in pop culture, New Jersey also has some of the highest taxes in the US.

But despite this, New Jersey is still a breathtaking state with outstanding diversity. The state, no matter how small, is always awash with activity. From its beautiful shore towns to breathtaking rural farmlands, the Garden State has so much to offer. Well, in this post we focus one some of the best places to live in New Jersey.

North Arlington is a suburb in Bergen Country. Hosting up to 15, 800 residents, North Arlington has that small town relaxed ambiance, and it’s located just 15 miles from downtown New York.  You get access to an excellent school district too and very low crime rates.

North Arlington was also named by Time Magazine in the top ten list of the best places to live in the United States back in 2017.  Median home value in the area reaches up to $349, 800 while the rent for single-family homes averages about $1,223.

Springdale

Springdale is an unincorporated community located in the Cherry Hill Township. The community has a population of about 14, 518 residents. It’s also a very safe neighborhood. The crime rates in Springdale are about 64% lower compared to the US average.

You also get access to a variety of top-performing schools within the community as well. Springdale is more of a laid back community. It is a perfect place to raise a family.

Princeton

Home to Princeton University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, the Princeton neighborhood of New Jersey is also a gem for people looking for the perfect place to live. The town has a population of about 30, 000 people.

The only downside is that the house prices in the town are very high. The median home value in Princeton stands at about $780, 300. However, the town is considered a high-income neighborhood.

Greentree

Greentree is also another unincorporated community located in Cherry Hill Township in the greater Camden County. The neighborhood hosts up to 11, 367 residents.  Crime rates are very low, averaging 45% lower than the national average.

Household income in the town is also relatively higher compared to the state average. There are dozens of top-performing schools as well within the community and its environs.

Edison Township

Edison is a small town in Middlesex County.  It’s densely populated with a population of nearly 102, 000 people. If the name sounds familiar, it’s actually because the town is named after US inventor Thomas Edison.

Reasons You Should Have a Fence

Having a fence around your home can bring you so many benefits, but it’s a big decision to make. A fence is the first thing anyone will see when passing by your home and it can really add character and value to your property. Nowadays, there are so many varieties of fencing to choose from such as vinyl, aluminum, wood, and more.

Curb appeal aside, there are many reasons to invest in fencing your property. Let’s take a look at some of the valid reasons to consider installing a fence.

1. Fencing increases the value of your property

Installing a fence around your home tends to boost up its value if you feel the need to sell it in the future. The increase in the value is based on the additional security to the home in the eyes of the buyers. It also decreases the homeowners’ insurance premiums. An insurance company views a solid fence as a mark of additional security. This too tends to be a big attraction for buyers. Also, a fence can be pretty useful if your future buyer plans to install a swimming pool or has children or pets.

2. An elevated level of privacy

A fence around your home adds more privacy to your property. Privacy is such an important factor to anyone in their home, since most homeowners think of their outdoor space as an extension of their home. A well designed fence can turn a backyard into your own private getaway and act as a sound barrier, keeping unwanted noise out of your yard. Different types of fences will offer different levels of privacy, so you can choose what fits your lifestyle best.

3. Safety

A fence acts as a barrier around your home and adds an extra sense of security. They offer safety to your kids, pets and belongings. Installing a fence around your property is an extra step to ensure your kids and pets are contained and within your line of vision. A fence can also keep out unwanted company in your yard.
